This webpage serves as a media where I can share my investment analysis and the knowledge I have accumulated over these last few years.
the investment ideoloogy
The investment framework follows a very basic approach – understanding the business and the market it operates in.
This is done through a combination of theories from marketing management/strategy and finance – with an applied common sense and scepticism.
While every sector is different and calls for weighting different valuation methodologies – The investment approach is distinctive from other investment approaches by understanding customer lifetime value, cost of acquisition, total addressable and obtainable market, brand equity etc. This allows for a stronger understanding of popular tools such as pricing power and competitive advantages – And furthermore helps understanding the MOATS and the driving forces of organic growth – absolutely important topics in the world of creating shareholder value.
No company or investment is perfect – and finding mispriced assets is incredibly time consuming – after all – I cannot value a company without an extensive dive into its business model – and second their financials.
My Investment Journey
I—like many others—began investing in early 2020. Being in my early twenties, my portfolio consisted entirely of unprofitable green tech companies, and it skyrocketed. I learned that unprofitable high-growth companies can deliver massive returns, provided interest rates remain near zero. They did not. When the macroeconomic environment shifted and the consensus of ‘transitory’ inflation proved false, my high-growth stocks dropped 30-70%. This provided a critical lesson: macro forecasting is inherently flawed, and the market is highly inefficient.
Driven by a desire to beat the market, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Business Administration. During this time, I came to the conclusion: Why not do what the ones who beat the market do? And I adopted the classic Munger and Buffett combination—identifying exceptional businesses at exceptional prices. These are companies with durable moats, strong pricing power, and superior strategic positioning. Because identifying pricing power and strategic positioning requires understanding businesses, this conviction led me to my current path: a Master’s Degree in Marketing Analytics and Strategy at Aarhus University.
